Dr. Daniel Bottner, DDS, is the newest member of the Great Grins team! Originally from London, Ontario, Canada (though he usually says Toronto to keep things simple), Dr. Bottner earned his B.S. in Physiology from the University of Western Ontario and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto.
After practicing general dentistry for a year, he completed a one-year residency at the University of Rochester, followed by five years of general practice in Ontario. In 2023, Dr. Bottner was accepted into the pediatric dental residency program at the University of Minnesota — the same program from which Dr. Khan graduated!
Dr. Bottner, his partner Liv, and their dog Caribou moved from Minneapolis to Portland in August 2025. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the city, hiking with Liv and Caribou, and playing chess.
